June 25, 2009, Michael Jackson, The King Of Pop has died. LA Local News report
Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 June 25, 2009) was an American recording artist, entertainer, and businessman. The seventh child of the Jackson family, he debuted on the professional music scene at the age of 11 as a member of The Jackson 5 and began a solo career in 1971 while still a member of the group. Referred to as the “King of Pop” in subsequent years, five of his solo studio albums are among the world’s best-selling records: Off the Wall (1979), Thriller (1982), Bad (1987), Dangerous (1991) and HIStory (1995).
In the early 1980s, he became a dominant figure in popular music and the first African-American entertainer to amass a strong crossover following on MTV. The popularity of his music videos airing on MTV, such as “Beat It”, “Billie Jean” and Thriller—credited for transforming the music video into an art form and a promotional tool—helped bring the relatively new channel to fame. Videos such as “Black or White” and “Scream” made Jackson an enduring staple on MTV in the 1990s. With stage performances and music videos, Jackson popularized a number of physically complicated dance techniques, such as the robot and the moonwalk. His distinctive musical sound and vocal style influenced many hip hop, pop and contemporary R&B artists.
One of the few artists to have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, his other achievements include multiple Guinness World Records—including one for “Most Successful Entertainer of All Time”—13 Grammy Awards, 13 number one singles in his solo career—more than any other male artist in the Hot 100 era—and the sales of over 750 million albums worldwide. Cited as one of the world’s most famous men, Jackson’s highly publicized personal life, coupled with his successful career, made him a part of popular culture for almost four decades.
On June 25, 2009, he collapsed at his home in Los Angeles. After being taken to the hospital in a coma, Jackson was pronounced dead.

Democrats, realizing the success of the President’s "Cash For Clunkers" rebate program, have revamped a major portion of their National Health Care Plan.
President Obama, Speaker Pelosi, and Sen. Reed are expected to make this major announcement at a joint news conference later this week. I have obtained an advanced copy of the proposal which is named….
"CASH FOR CODGERS" And It Works Like This…
Couples wishing to access health care funds in order to pay for the delivery of a child will be required to turn in one old person. The amount the government grants them will be fixed according to a sliding scale. Older and more prescription dependent ‘codgers’ will garner the highest amounts.
Special "Bonuses" will be paid for those submitting codgers in targeted groups, such as smokers, alcohol drinkers, persons 10 pounds over their government prescribed weight, and any member of the Republican Party.
Smaller bonuses will be given for ‘codgers’ who consume beef, soda, fried foods, potato chips, lattes, whole milk, dairy products, bacon, Brussels sprouts, or Girl Scout Cookies.
All ‘codgers’ will be rendered totally useless via toxic injection. This will insure that they are not secretly resold or their body parts harvested to keep other ‘codgers’ in repair.
It’s unfair! Just like "Cash for Clinkers". I didnt have a clunker & couldn’t take advantage. I dont have a granma or granpa & cant take advantage. Talk about one sided!

It was a breaking news story by the FBI and the Department of Justice. Who should I contact?
Try contacting the station it aired on, they may still have it on hand.

The day before Thanksgiving, 1971, Dan Cooper (a.k.a. D.B. Cooper) highjacked a Northwest Airlines flight that he later parachuted from with $200,000 over southwest Washington state, and was never seen or heard from again ($8,000 of the cash was later discovered along the Columbia River bank in 1980).

I have been trying to get the local news in my hometown can you tell me what I need to do to get news from that newspaper on line.I am new to using a computer and I am a Christian Mom so please don’t use any profanity.
If you don’t want to subscribe to the actual newspaper and have it delivered to your address, you can search for it online.
First, not all local newspapers are online. To check and see if the one you want is online, try a Yahoo or Google search: Go to www.yahoo.com and then type in the name of the newpaper, along with the name of the town, the word "newspaper," etc.
From the available results of your search, you should be able to find your local newspaper’s website (that is, if it is online). Good luck to you.

Hi. Thanks first for reading this.
I found a part time job to work as a journalist.
The company will pay me monthly, but I am wondering am I better off to work as a sole business owner as an independent news agent than an employee of a newspaper firm from tax perspective?
If I am to run as a sole business owner, should I register? Under what category? To whom should I register? City? County? State?
By the way. The part-time job pays less than $1000 a month.
I am in Washington state, USA.
Because a company is paying me, so I definitely need to report the revenue for tax. If I get paid as salary, the tax rate might be as high as 25-28% (I am single).
If I am right, a small business has lower tax rate and in addition, I can deduct some expense. Right?
take the job and keep searching for better ones
